Sassy’s Reset: From Longest Resident to Adopted
When we first met Sassy, she had already been waiting a long time for her person. This sweet 8-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier originally came from Chicago Animal Care and Control before making her way to Wright-Way Rescue, where she became one of their longest residents.
Sassy needed more than someone to share her adoption post. She also struggled with ongoing skin issues that required medication, a special diet, and additional veterinary care when her condition flared up. Rescue Reset Project stepped in to help provide the medical resources she needed while continuing to share her story and help her reach potential adopters.
Our goal was to give Sassy the support she needed to feel her best while helping her find the home she had been waiting for.
And she finally found it!
After such a long journey, Sassy was adopted and got the fresh start she deserved. Her story is exactly why Rescue Reset exists, to help fill the gaps that can stand between a shelter dog and their next chapter.
