Meet Joshua, a 2-year-old golden and white Lab mix with a gentle personality and plenty of love to give. Joshua can be a little shy when meeting someone new, but give him some patience and time to trust you, and it won’t be long before his sweet side starts to shine.
Once Joshua feels safe, he is a total cuddlebug. He loves being close to his people and would happily spend the day hanging out by your side.
Joshua has spent time in a foster home before, and that experience showed just how much he flourishes in a home environment. Away from the stress of the shelter, he was able to settle in, get comfortable, and let more of his personality come through.
He enjoys meeting other dogs, although larger dogs can be a little intimidating to him at first. With a slow introduction and some reassurance, he can become more comfortable. Joshua also does well with cats, making him a great possibility for a home with feline friends.
Because Joshua needs a little extra patience while getting comfortable, he would do best in a home with older children who understand how to give him the space and gentle introduction he needs.
