Meet Nellie: Her Reset Is in Progress

Nellie’s story started in rural Texas, where she and her siblings were found abandoned near a busy road with their father. Just puppies at the time, they were given a second chance and began their journey toward finding loving homes.
Today, Nellie is 3 years old and starting an important new chapter. She is currently going through training with our partner, Down the Leash Service Dogs, where she’s building the skills, structure, and confidence she needs to succeed in her future home.

Nellie is a confident, independent girl who is great with people and has plenty of affection to give. She loves companionship and attention but prefers having her people and her space to herself. Because of this, Nellie would thrive as the only animal in the household.
With a family who understands her needs and gives her consistency, love, and plenty of attention, Nellie has the potential to be an incredibly loyal companion.
Training for Her Future
Through her training with Down the Leash Service Dogs, Nellie is getting the extra support she needs to prepare for a successful adoption.
At Rescue Reset Project, we want to do more than find animals homes. We want to give them the resources they need to make those homes last.
Nellie has come a long way from the little puppy found alongside a Texas road, and her journey isn’t over yet.
